Simulation – example 1 with setpoint steps

The setpoint value programmed in a section (e.g. 20 in section 1) remains constant for the en-
tire duration of a section. At the start of the next section, the setpoint value jumps to the value
for this section (e.g. 100 in section 2).

Simulation – example 2 with setpoint ramp

The setpoint value programmed in a section (e.g. 20 in section 1) changes gradually during that
section to the setpoint value of the next section (e.g. 100 in section 2). This produces a course
in a ramp shape. For a setpoint value to remain constant in a section (e.g. 100 in section 2),
the same setpoint value must be specified for the next section (e.g. 100 in section 3).

NOTE!
The setpoint input – setpoint step or setpoint ramp – is specified in the configuration of the
program generator. Different settings can be made here for each program channel and each
setpoint value.
