Hazards of Use, continued

CAUTION:
If a target lamp
accessory is used with

the instrument the lamp's
surface temperature may be
extreme after a long working
period. It may cause pain if
touched. Replacing the halogen
bulb before the lamp has been
allowed to cool down may cause
burning to the skin or fingers.
Precautions:
Use appropriate heat protection
such as gloves or woollen cloth
before touching the lamp, or
allow the lamp to cool down
first.

WARNING:
If computers intended for
use indoors are used in

the field there is a danger of
electric shock.
Precautions:
Adhere to the instructions given
by the computer manufacturer
with regard to field use in
conjunction with Leica Geosys-
tems instruments.

CAUTION:
During the transport or
disposal of charged

batteries it is possible for
inappropriate mechanical
influences to constitute a fire
hazard.
Precautions:
Before transporting or disposing
of equipment, discharge the
battery (e.g. by running the
instrument in tracking mode
until the batteries are
exhausted).
