Raise the clamshell by lifting the clamshell release lever.

Install the developer unit fully into the machine while lifting it by its handle and
bottom with both hands. Be sure not to touch the exposed developer, for it will
make your hands dirty.
CAUTION
Always keep the developer unit horizontal and do not rotate its gears when it is outside
the machine.
