Remote control unit

Buttons used for basic operations

PLAY button -----------------------

Press to start playback.

(See page 31.)

If this button is pressed in the

standby mode (if the AC
adaptor is used), the player will

be turned on. When the disc is
loaded, playback starts

automatically. (It is impossible
to turn on the player with the

remote control unit if the player
is powered by the battery pack.)

PAUSE button ----------------
Press to place the player in

the still picture/pause mode.

STOP button

Press to stop playback.

(See page 32.)

If this button is kept pressed

when the player is ON, the player
will be set to the standby mode

(if the AC adaptor is used) or the
player will be turned off (if the
battery pack is used).

DISPLAY button -----------------------
Press to show the On-Screen
Menu Icons. (See page 37.)

TITLE button ________________

Press to show the title menu
recorded on the disc.

Cursor buttons/SELECT button -
Make the selection by pressing the

cursor buttons ( A ,

then press SELECT to enter the
selection. (See page 31.)

SKIP buttons
Press for skipping

ahead/back.

I: Reverse direction

Press for rapid advance/

for slow-motion play (see
page 35).
