•Underlined items are a factory preset.

In the case of a DVD recorded in Linear PCM of 96 kHz, audio output from the player’s

audio input/output (optical digital audio output) connector is converted to 48 kHz if the
player is connected using the optical digital audio cable.
To enjoy high quality sound at 96 kHz, connect the amplifier or decoder to the audio
input/output (optical digital audio output) connector using the audio/video cable (sup
plied), not the optical digital audio cable. (Select “1 No" at the “1 LPCM 96k-^48k’’.)

®^When connecting an amplifier (with an optical digital input connector) which does not

contain the Dolby Digital (AC-3) or dts decoder, be sure to select "2 PCM” at the “2

Dolby Digital” and "1 Off” at the “3 dts". If “Bitstream” is selected, any attempt to play

DVDs may cause such a high level of noise that it may be harmful to your ears and

damage your speakers.
