MODE controls how the Monomachine receives incoming sysex data.

ORIG - The kits, patterns, songs and global slot data received will be placed on the orig-
inal positions they were located at when they were transmitted. Using this method it is
not possible to select any start positions in the WRITE POS FROM window.

SPEC - You may specify the positions where you want the kits, patterns, songs and glo-
bal slots to be stored. Since the Monomachine does not know in advance what kind of,
and how much data it will receive, all you can specify is that the data will be placed start-
ing on the positions you specify. If you specify KIT 03 and receive four kits, positions 3 to
6 will be written over no matter where the kits received were originally placed.

VERF - The SYSEX data received is only verified to be correct, it is not stored in mem-
ory. Using this method it is not possible to select any start positions in the WRITE POS
FROM window.

WRITE POS FROM is only available when the SPEC method of recieval is chosen. After
selecting SPEC in the MODE tab, enter the WRITE POS FROM tab using the [RIGHT] key,
then use [RIGHT] and [LEFT] key to move between the parameters. Adjust the start posi-
tions parameters using the [UP] and [DOWN] keys or the LEVEL knob.

To load sysex data into the Monomachine, follow the steps below:

1.

Connect the Monomachine to the device you are receiving the data from. See the figure
below for an example of what the connections could look like when sending sysex data
to a computer.

2.

Select FILE row in the GLOBAL menu. Then select SYSEX RECV and press [ENTER/
YES]
.

3.

Select the receive method you want using the [UP] and [DOWN] arrow keys. If you have
chosen the SPEC option, specify the new start positions for the dump.
