Casella CEL-35X dBadge Users Handbook – Page 23

The first configuration screen to be displayed is the contrast menu.
For eac

h option within these menus press the „L‟ key to adjust what

is on the screen then press „R‟ to confirm and move to next screen.

Contrast setting
You can adjust the display contrast for best viewing of the text on
screen. There are 6 different contrast levels available.

Language setting
You can select one of the pre-programmed languages that are
available. Currently these are English, French, German, Italian,
Spanish, and Portuguese.

Pro Mode setting
You can select to leave the Pro Mode disabled for simplicity of
displayed results or choose to enable it to show the calculated values
at the 80 + 90, 80 only or 90 only threshold levels. (or values of Lex8h
and Proj Lex8h)

Display mode setting
You can select either ISO or OSHA display modes for on screen
results but both settings are measured and stored for all runs so that
relevant data can be seen in the Casella insight data management
software program from every run.

For further de

tails about the „Display Mode‟ see section 5.7.

Threshold setting
This menu is only displayed if the OSHA display mode is selected in
the previous step. You can select either both the 80 + 90, just the 80
dB (for the HCA) or just the 90 dB (for the PEL) on screen. The 80 +
90 setting gives the maximum number of displayed screens in the
instrument but if only the tighter HCA (or lower threshold settings) are
required for simplicity then select the 80 setting only. Similarly, if the
90 dB upper threshold is set then only the PEL results will be
displayed on screen. In any of these 3 cases it should still be
remembered that whatever the setting chosen here it will only affect
the displayed results and that all the data will be stored to calculate
every required parameter when downloaded to Insight software (and
dB35).
