This represents the message generated by the modem following successful command execution
Connect Time:- 60
If the time required to successfully connect to the remote station exceeds the set value then the
communications session will be terminated.
Idle Time:- 60
If no data is sent or received by the modem during the specified time period then the
communications session will be terminated.
The APM950 modem should be configued as follows:-
AT&F0 Load factory defaults
AT&D0 Ignore DTR status
ATS1=2 Auto answer after 2 rings
ATE0 Turn echo off
ATQ1 Disable result codes
AT&W0 Save current settings and load them at power up.
The office based modem and P.C software should be configured for 'hardware' flow control
(AT&E4).
Above settings are for a Multitec MT1432MK modem. The required settings may vary for other
modem models.
Programming The APM System.
A logger profile defines which parameters are logged and how often. For these selections to
become active it is necessary to program these details into the APM system.
Using the supplied communications cable, connect the appropriate P.C. serial port to the APM
logger socket marked 'RS232 Comms'.
