The filter holder assembly is loaded with a preconditioned pre weighted filter as shown in the
'Filter Sub Assembly' diagram. Ensure that the filter support is below the filter giving it support
against the pump suction and also that the locating pin and hole are correctly aligned.
Replace the loaded filter holder assembly over the locating spigot of the filter body lower, then
reassemble. Make sure that the O-rings -O/133/3 are correctly placed as shown.
When sampling is complete again remove the filter holder assembly carefully, part the upper and
lower sections of the assembly. The loaded filter disc should be carefully removed and
transferred to a clean Petri dish for transport to the analytical site.
The components of the filter holder assembly should be cleaned before loading with a new filter.
The filter body parts should be cleaned in coincidence with those of the PM10 head to ensure
optimum performance.
For cleaning use DECON 90 (1%H
2
0) soaked lint free tissues then rinse with distilled water to
remove all traces of DECON 90
