Step Three – Customize Disc Menu (optional)

Use the following features to create and customize menus for your discs. A disc menu
functions as a visual table of contents, providing the option for selective viewing.

Create Menu – Select this option (bottom left corner of the Burn screen)

if you would like to create a disc menu for your DVD. The disc menu is made from the different
video clips you add to the disc, and displays them as image thumbnails with a background
image of your choice. The disc menu will appear when playing your disc, allowing you to play
specific clips based on the selection of videos you added to the disc.

Tip: If you do not want a Menu to appear when you play your disc, uncheck the
Create Menu option. *Even with the Create menu unchecked, you will still need to add
clips to the Disc Menu Panel in order to burn them.

Themes – Use the Themes button to change the Theme (background picture,
buttons and clip frames) of your Disc Menu.

Tip: Some Themes display more video clips on one menu screen than others. If your
clips exceed the amount displayed on one screen, another menu screen will
automatically be created. Use the Menu Navigation buttons, listed in this section, to
view and customize each menu screen.

Background Image – Use the Background Image button to change the
background picture only of your Disc Menu. *You can also use a personal image from your
own collection by clicking the ‘Add photo(s)’ button to add your own images to the list.

Navigation Buttons – Use the Navigation Buttons button to change the look of
your navigation buttons in the Disc Menu preview. Navigation Buttons are used to navigate
between menu pages when playing the disc in a DVD player. They should not be confused
with the Menu Navigation buttons which are used to navigate your menu pages while creating
them in the program.
*Navigation Buttons will only appear in your disc menu preview if you have more than one
menu page of clips.
