104 | Maintaining and Transporting the Printer
• Cover the printer with a non-static cloth. This helps protect it from
dust, which can interfere with the print head nozzles.
Before returning the printer to use, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the printer and shake the white ink cartridge (see page 79).
2. Run a nozzle check and select the PRINT WITH WHITE INK option
(see page 83).
Check the results and clean the print head, if necessary (see page 84).
3. If the printer hasn’t been used for more than a year, you may need to
refresh the white ink supply (see page 86).
4. You may also need to realign the print head (page 87) to ensure good
print quality.
