The detail of the five types of security is as follows: (“OFF” Æ no security is required)

WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)

64-bit / 128-bit: Two levels of WEP key, which can be 64 bits or

128 bits.

Open / Shared Key:

- Open:

WEP key is used for encryption only.

- Shared

Key:

WEP key is used for both authentication and

encryption.

ASCII:

- Hex:

It allows to input the digits of 0~9 and A~F, and the

length of the WEP key must be 10 digits for 64-bit or 26

digits for 128-bit.

- ASCII:

It allows to input the characters in the ASCII system,

and the length must be 5 characters for 64-bit or 13

characters for 128-bit.

WPA-PSK (Pre Share Key)

TKIP

AES:

Two types of encryption protocol; the upgrade for

WEP.

- TKIP:

Temporal Key Integrity Protocol.

- AES:

Advanced Encryption Standard.

Hex

ASCII:

- Hex:

It allows to input total 64 digits of 0~9 and A~F.

- ASCII:

It allows to input 8~63 characters in the ASCII system.

PEAP (Protected EAP)

Identity: The ID for authentication and allow 31 characters.
Password: The password for authentication and allow 31

characters.
