Editing record fields

Editing text fields

Edit text fields using Graffiti, the virtual Keyboard, and the Editing
functions accessible from the Menu silk screen button.

To edit text fields:

1. From the Edit View of a database record, place the Graffiti focus in

the text field you wish to edit.

2. Tap the Menu silk screen button.

3. Tap Edit.

The Edit functions include:

Undo

: To undo the last editing operation

Cut

: To delete the highlighted portion of the current text field

and store it in the clipboard

Copy

: To copy the highlighted portion of the current text field

into the clipboard.

Paste

: To insert the contents of the clipboard at the current focus

cursor position.

Select all

: To highlight the entire text field.

Keyboard

: To display a virtual keyboard that you can use to tap

out keystrokes.

Editing date fields

From the Edit View of a database record, tap on a date data field to
display a list of choices:

Today

: To insert today’s date into the field.

Tomorrow

: To insert tomorrow’s date into the field.

One week later

: To insert the date one week from today.

No Date

: to clear this field of any date.

Choose Date...

: To display a date selection dialog. Choose any

date between January 1, 1904 and December 31, 2031.

Editing time fields

From the Edit View of a database record, tap on a time data field to
display a list of choices:

Current Time

: To insert the current time into this field.

No Time

: To clear this field of any time.

Choose Time...

: To display a time selection dialog box. Select the

time for the Start Time field.

Note

Ignore the End Time field. It is not used.
