Repairing your Pylon installation
If you suspect that a file supporting your Pylon installation may have
become corrupted, you can use the Pylon installer to repair any
damaged files while preserving all of your installation settings.
Caution When you do a Repair install, all of your manual configuration settings
are changed back to the defaults. This is faster than uninstalling and
reinstalling Pylon, but you should make notes on all of your manual
configuration settings before proceeding, so that you can manually
restore them.
To repair your Pylon installation:
1. Place your Pocket PC or Palm OS device in its cradle and perform a
final sync. After syncing, leave your device in its cradle.
2. Close Lotus Notes.
3. Double-click the installer file pylondesktopPocket PC.exe or pylondesktop-
palm.exe.
The Pylon installer Welcome panel for a maintenance install, shown
in Figure 3-8, “Pylon installer Welcome panel for maintenance
install” (page 50), appears.
4. Select Repair and click Next.
The Pylon installer Setup Status indicates the percentage progress.
When it is complete, the Pylon installer Maintenance Complete
panel is displayed.
5. Click Finish.
