About Pylon Conduit and Pylon Pro
With Pylon Conduit and Pylon Pro from iAnywhere Solutions, moving
your data back and forth between Lotus Notes and your Pocket PC OS
or Palm OS device has never been easier.
About Pylon Conduit
In today’s mobile world, you need access to your email, address book,
calendar, and to do list, whether you are at the office or on the go. Pylon
Conduit provides seamless synchronization between Lotus Notes
Personal Information Management (PIM) applications and the native
applications on your Pocket PC or Palm OS device.
About Pylon Pro
Pylon Pro includes all of the Lotus Notes PIM to mobile device
functionality of Pylon Conduit, but also functions as a separate device
application that can take on the look and feel of any Lotus Notes
custom database. Using Pylon Pro, you can create a fully-customized
Pocket PC or Palm application from any Lotus Notes database.
Installation, configuration, and security
You easily can install and configure Pylon yourself. And you can use
Pylon knowing that your personal information is secure — both Pylon
Conduit and Pylon Pro maintain the Lotus Notes security model.
Components of Pylon
Pylon consists of software for your desktop computer and for your
mobile device.
Pylon on your desktop computer
On your desktop, either Pylon Conduit or Pylon Pro (depending on
which product you purchased) is installed as a configuration database
that you access from within Lotus Notes. From within the Pylon
Configuration Database, you can control which Lotus Notes databases
you sync with, how the information is displayed and organized on your
device, and which specific information within each database is
synchronized. For example, if you want to sync only the unread mail in
your Inbox, you indicate this preference in the configuration database.
Pylon Conduit on your mobile device
On your device, Pylon Conduit provides you with access to your Lotus
Notes PIM content, using the native Pocket PC or Palm applications
that you are already familiar with, such as Calendar, Contacts, and
Inbox.
