Field Memory Recorder (Chapter 6: MENU mode/Disk menu)

4)

Move the character selection cursor to "OK" and press the [ENTER] key.

The display shows "Please Wait!" while the FR-2 is executing the operation for storing the
entered label. When the operation is completed, "Completed!" is shown on the screen and
the display returns to show the Home screen.

You can enter up to 11 characters. If you enter more than 11 characters, the FR-2 auto-
matically deletes characters after the 12th.

When a USB keyboard is connected to the FR-2, you can carry out the following operation.

Character keys

You can directly enter a character instead of selecting from among the character
options on the screen. Each time you press a character key, the volume label
cursor moves right.

Acts the same as the [MENU] dial on the FR-2 panel.

Moves the volume label cursor right and left.

Back space key

Deletes the character at the volume label cursor position, and moves all the sub-
sequent characters left.

Insert key

Turn ON and OFF the INSERT mode. When it is ON, the volume label cursor is lit
solid. When it is OFF, the file name cursor is flashing.

Delete key

Deletes the character at the volume label cursor position.

Enter key

Used to fix the label entered.
Acts the same as moving the character selection cursor to "OK" and pressing the
[ENTER] key on the FR-2 panel.

<Note>:

If you are going to enter an illegal name, "Illegal!" is shown on the display

and the operation is cancelled.
