4. Receiving Faxes
Selecting the Reception Mode
The machine has two modes for receiving faxes:
FAX ONLY mode:
Select this mode when you only want to receive faxes on your line. The
machine will automatically answer all calls on one ring and receive incoming
faxes. (“FAX” will appear in the fax mode display.)
EXT. TEL mode:
Select this mode when you have connected an extension phone to the
machine as explained on page 15 and you want to receive both faxes and
voice calls on the line connected to the machine. All calls, including faxes,
must be answered by picking up the extension phone. (“TEL” will appear
in the fax mode display.)
To select the reception mode, follow the steps below.
i The reception mode is initially set to FAX ONLY mode.
