6-10 IBM OS/2 Warp 3.0 (Single Byte Character)
OS/2 Version Notes
1. All the OS/2 Warp Versions up to SiS 5597/5598 driver Rev.
1.03 can be installed as described in this section except for
Double Byte Character IBM OS/2 Warp 3.0 (i.e. Chinese,
Japanese, Korean etc.).
2. For IBM OS/2 Warp 3.0 Double Byte installation, please refer to
the previous section.
Driver Files
The enclosed SiS 5597/5598 OS/23.0 driver contains the following
files:
Ø SISINST.CMD
SiS driver install program
Ø SVGA.EXE
SiS PMI Generator
Ø S768256.DL@
SiS IBMDEV32.DLL display driver
Ø OTHERS
Other files required for installation.
Installation
Before installing SiS 5597/5598 OS/2 drivers, make sure you:
1. Install an OS/2 system using “VGA display” option (i.e.
standard VGA).
2. Start your OS/2 system.
Install SiS 5597/5598 OS/2 Warp drivers as following procedures:
1. Enter “OS/2 window” or “ OS/2 full screen.”
2. Change directory to that which holds the SiS 5597/5598
OS/23.0 display drivers and type SISINST <Enter>. For
example,
D:\>SOYO_CD\REV_10\UTILITY\SIS_VGA\OS2\SBCS30\SISI
