KIR 2 Level
This printer incorporates the KIR 2 smoothing function. KIR 2 provides high quality printing by
providing a software-type improvement to the resolution. Print a status page to find out the current
mode.

Set the print density to “ 03 ” when setting the KIR 2 mode. For details on print density, see
page 2-62.

You can look at the check line, the last line on a status page, to make the optimum KIR 2 mode
setting. Please refer to the table on the next page.
The KIR 2 setting is Off. The KIR 2 setting is On
(Default setting).
