Parallel Interface Connection

1.

Plug one end of the printer cable into the connector on the printer marked with a

(parallel)

symbol.

2.

Close the clips on both sides to fix the connector in place.

3.

Plug the other end of the printer cable into the computer’s parallel (Centronics) interface
connector. This connector is usually marked PRINTER. For details, please refer to the hardware
manual for the computer.

Serial Interface Connection

The printer is shipped from the factory with its serial interface set to RS-232C mode, but it can also be set
to RS-422A mode in accordance with how it will be used. For details, please refer to Appendix C.

1.

Plug one end of the cable into the connector marked IOIOI on the printer.

2.

Tighten the screws on both sides securely.

3.

Plug the other end of the cable into the computer's serial interface connector. For details,
please refer to the hardware manual for the computer.
