Expanding Memory
The printer comes standard equipped with 16 MB of main memory. However, more complex pages
can be printed and processing speed increased by expanding the printer’s memory. There are two
slots available in the printer for expanding memory. (One 16 MB SIMM is installed in one of the slots
when the printer is shipped from the factory.) Printer memory can be expanded to up to 64 MB by
installing optional extended memory chips (SIMMs) in these slots.

The expansion memory should be installed only by an authorized dealer or a certified technician.
We shall not be liable for damage due to improper installation of the expansion memory.

This printer possesses two SIMM sockets. One 16 MB SIMM is installed in one of the sockets
when the printer is shipped from the factory. When expanding the printer’s memory to its maximum
of 64 MB, it is necessary to remove this SIMM which was installed at the factory.
