Receiving Faxes to Memory

When your machine is set to Memory Reception Mode
(MEM), it receives data into memory without printing and
displays

MSG. IN MEMORY.

See “Setting Basic Features, Setting the Answering Mode,
Memory Reception Mode.”

You may want to set your machine for memory reception if
you receive faxes containing confidential information.

When Are Faxes Received to Memory?

Your machine receives messages into memory if:

you set (program) the machine to receive messages to
memory

the machine runs out of paper

the machine runs out of toner

When Are Memory Messages Printed?

When messages are received into memory, they will print
when

paper is replaced, if the machine ran out of paper

you request them, if the machine is set to receive messages
to memory

when the machine is switched from Memory Reception
Mode to Auto Receive Mode
