Soundcraft Snapshot Recall

When Snapshots are being recalled from a Soundcraft Vi Console, the majority of the
features on the Snapshots page are not used. Instead, all Snapshot data is stored and
recalled from the Soundcraft Vi Console.
Complete workflows within Vi Console systems is detailed in Soundcraft’s documentation,
but a general outline is provided below.

Caution:

When a Snapshot CUE is loaded from a Soundcraft Vi Console, the Active

Snapshot is overwritten, any unsaved changes are lost, and audio artifacts could
occur.

Workflow with Vi Consoles

1. Create a working Snapshot in the Realtime Rack application.
2. Add as many plug-ins as needed for a show.
3. Confirm the Soundcraft Vi Console and Realtime Rack are communicating prop-

erly via Ethernet. Proper communication is indicated on the Vi Console only (not
on Realtime Rack). The indication is in the form of a UAD status LED.

4. Create a new Show (or open an existing Show) on the Vi Console.
5. In the CUE (Snapshot) list in the Vi Console, there are two dedicated UAD enable-

type buttons for linking Soundcraft Cues with Realtime Rack Snapshots. Ensure
that these two buttons are ON, then store the current Cue.

6. As new Cues are created, ensure that these two buttons are linked to the Cue.
7. As changes in the plug-ins are needed, hit Update Cue in the Vi Console.
8. Any parameter changes and plug-in assignments are instantly recalled when hit-

ting the Recall button.

When a Snapshot is recalled remotely from a Soundcraft Vi Console,

the Info Bar and Current Snapshot panel both display “[SOUNDCRAFT CUE]”
