Troubleshooting – flow-proportional sampling system

If a fault develops in your sampler, we can only provide prompt assistance if you give us the type and
serial number of the apparatus concerned. You will find these data on the type plate.
The more precise your description of the fault is, the better our fault diagnosis will be.

Level electrodes do not react,
system is flooded

Adjustment of conductivity is
too low. Distilled water is used
as sample medium

Contact service department

No contact to electrodes

Check cable connections

Sampler does not extract
samples

System is leaking

Check whether all hoses and
connections are tight

Pump/diaphragm defective

Check pressure/vacuum of
pump

Metering vessel not tight, no
vacuum

Check whether metering vessel
is tight (union nut)

Level electrodes are bridged

Clean electrodes

Valve system/pinch valve does
not work correctly

Check valve system/pinch valve
or contact service dept.

Pump does not produce
pressure/vacuum

Diaphragm defective

Replace diaphragm

Hoses are kinked

Check hoses

Inaccurate sample volume

System has been initialized or
hardware has been changed

Calibrate
