60Hz and 50 Hz Motor Operation and Drive

Output Frequency Selection (Jumpers J1 and

J2) – Both jumpers must be set for the appropriate

motor nameplate frequency rating. Jumpers J1

and J2 are located on the lower PC board.

6.2.1 Setting the Drive for 60 Hz or 50 Hz

Motor Operation – The drive is factory set

to operate 60 Hz motors. Jumper J1 is fac-

tory set to the “60Hz” position and Jumper

J2 is factory set to the “X1” position. For 50

Hz motors, set Jumper J1 to the “50Hz”

position, and be sure Jumper J2 is set to

the “X1” position. Jumpers J1 and J2 are

located on the lower PC board. See

Figure 10.

6.2.2 Setting the Drive for Two

Times the Rated Motor

RPM – The drive can also

be used to operate the

motor up to two times the

rated RPM. However, con-

stant horsepower will result

when operating the drive in

the “X2” mode above the

motor rated frequency. See

Figure 11, on page 26.
