Accuracy during scaling (digits) = measuring accuracy (digits) × multiplier + 2 digits (rounded up)

where the multiplier = scaling span (digits)/measuring span (digits).

Example: Assuming that

1-5 V

• measuring span:

1.000 to 5.000 V

• scaling span:

0.000 to 2.000 Then,

Measuring accuracy = ±(0.1% × 5 V + 2 digits)

= ±(0.005 V [5 digits] + 2 digits)

= ±7 digits

Multiplier = {2000 digits (0.000 to 2.000)}/4000 digits (1.000 to 5.000) = 0.5

Accuracy during scaling = ±(7 × 0.5 + 2) digits = 6 digits (rounded up)
