Installation and Configuration
This section explains how to install and configure the HP Surestore Interface
Manager within HP SAN backup solutions. Basic knowledge about installing
and configuring tape libraries, Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), and software in a
non-SAN configuration is required.
This section’s instructions are based on the following example configuration:
■
HP-UX server with two HBAs
■
Windows NT server with one HBA
■
8-port HP Brocade Fibre Channel switch
■
HP 20/700 tape library with 2 DLT8000 drives
■
Fibre Channel Interface Manager
