The following table describes the FS pair status definitions, the S-VOL access for the status, and
the corresponding status that is shown in RAID Manager.

The pair is in the process of being deleted. You cannot perform pair
tasks when the pair is in this status.

The storage system has accepted the paircreate RAID Manager
command. The P-VOL accepts read/write operations, but the S-VOLs
do not accept read/write operations.

PAIR

disabled

The volumes are paired.

The S-VOL does not accept read/write operations.

While the volumes are paired (“PAIR” status), you exceeded the data
pool threshold.

The pairsplit RAID Manager command has completed. The Update

records differential data between the P-VOL and S-VOLs so that you
can immediately resynchronize the pair.

A Reverse Copy is in progress. The S-VOL does not accept read/write
operations.* The starting time of the copy depends on the number
of pairs in your storage system.

operation is not performed during Reverse Copy or Quick Restore.

The pair is suspended. The S-VOL does not accept read/write
operations.

You can monitor pair properties and to confirm the status of a volume. Monitor pair properties in
the View Pair Properties window.
