Adjusting Front Panel Settings

The following settings are temporary settings which remain in effect
for two minutes then revert to the default setting.

Press each button multiple times to scroll through options.

The on the display means the setting is the current setting.
Temporary settings show on the display under the date and time. A
on the display indicates other temporary settings not shown on the
display. To see them, press an arrow button. To clear them, press
Cancel.

Copy quality

(If your model lacks this button, press Menu, 1, 3 to set copy quality.)

Copy Quality affects copy speed and quality and has three settings:
Fast:

Fastest speed, good quality, uses less ink

Normal:

Good speed, high quality, recommended for most jobs

Best:

Best quality, slowest speed

This is a temporary setting. To make the current setting the default,
press Menu, 1, 2 (see page 3-7).

Reduce/enlarge

(If your model does not have this button, press Menu, 1, 4 to change
this setting.)

This is a temporary setting. To make the current setting the default,
press Menu, 1, 2 (see page 3-7).

Color/resolution

Press this button multiple times to set the color and resolution of the
fax you want to send.

This is a temporary setting. To make the current setting the default,
press Menu, 5, 7 (see page 3-11).

Lighter/darker

Press this button multiple times to lighten or darken your copies or
faxes. It does not affect scanning or printing. This is a temporary
setting only with no default.
