For Non-European Customers
This product is approved for use only in the country in
which it was purchased. Local country laws may
prohibit the use of this product outside the country of
purchase. It is strictly forbidden by law in virtually every
country to connect nonapproved telecommunications
equipment (fax machines) to public telephone networks.
For European Customers
This equipment has been approved in accordance with
Council Directive 98/482/EC for Pan-European single
terminal connection to the public switched telephone net-
work (PSTN). However, due to differences between the
individual PSTNs provided in different countries, the
approval does not, of itself, give an unconditional assur-
ance of successful operation on every PSTN network ter-
mination point.
In the event of problems, you should contact your equip-
ment supplier in the first instance.
Network Compatibility Declaration of Conformity
This equipment is designed to work with telephone net-
works in all European Union countries plus Switzerland
and Norway. Network compatibility depends on customer
selected settings, which must be reset to use the equip-
ment on a telephone network in a country other than
where the product was purchased. Contact the vendor or
Hewlett-Packard Company if additional product support
is necessary.
This equipment comes with a telephone connector spe-
cific to the country where it was purchased.
