System option modes (for example, 104).
IBM Mode 104 must be ON for 3990 controller emulation (not valid for 2105 and 2107
emulation).

Mode 104 must be set before any TrueCopy for Mainframe pairs are established in a GDPS
environment. If TrueCopy for Mainframe pairs have already been established, you must release
all pairs and logical paths (CDELPAIR, CDELPATH), change the SSIDs and mode settings on the
MCUs and RCUs, and then re-establish the paths and pairs (CESTPATH, CESTPAIR).
The HP disk array does not support controlling the FREEZE Option through the CESTPATH LINK
parameter. The FREEZE Option must be controlled using the CGROUP option of CESTPATH. Make
changes as needed to the CESTPATH LINK definitions in your GDPS configuration files or
configuration database.

RMF PPRC Link-path Statistical Information Support
When you use Mainframe Resource Measurement Facility (RMF), and if you specify the IBM
TotalStorage Enterprise Storage Server (ESS), you can acquire the PPRC Fibre Link-path statistical
information. For further information on the PPRC Link-path statistical information acquisition, see
the IBM publications.
“SAID Values for the LINK Parameters (=ports) of RMF PPRC Link-path Statistical Information (FRONT
CL1)” (page 46)
and “SAID Values for the LINK Parameters (=ports) of RMF PPRC Link-path Statistical
Information (REAR CL2)” (page 48) give the HP disk array adaptor ID (SAID) values for the LINK
parameters (ports) that are displayed when you acquire the PPRC Link-path statistical information
using RMF.
The HP disk array adaptor ID (SAID) values in “SAID Values for the LINK Parameters (=ports) of
RMF PPRC Link-path Statistical Information (FRONT CL1)” (page 46) and “SAID Values for the LINK
Parameters (=ports) of RMF PPRC Link-path Statistical Information (REAR CL2)” (page 48) are
different from the ones for the LINK parameters of CESTPATH TSO commands (see “SAID Values
for the PATH LINK Parameter (= ports) (FRONT CL1)” (page 41) and “SAID Values for the PATH
LINK Parameter (= ports) (REAR CL2)” (page 42) ).
If you acquire the PPRC Fibre Link-path statistical information by using RMF, and if the total data
size per the interval for which you acquire the data is 100 kB and below, zero may be reported
for the data size. Even if the data is not updated by host I/O during TrueCopy for Mainframe
Asynchronous operations, the data size is reported. This is because the recordset which does not
have data is sent from MCU to RCU. In this case, if the total data size per the interval for which
you acquire the data is 100 kB and below, zero may also be reported for the data size.
