Using your VAIO computer
❑ HOLD switch :
Prevents accidental pressing of the buttons on your computer. Slide the HOLD switch in the direction of the arrow to activate
HOLD mode. In HOLD mode, however, the following operations are available:
❑ Turning on and off the Wireless LAN functionality with the Wireless LAN switch
❑ Operations on the connected USB devices
❑ Operations on the supplied stick remote commander
❑ Button operations on the supplied port replicator
On the port replicator
❑ Download button:
The Download button, by default, launches the default browser software. You can also link another action that you execute often
to this shortcut button. See Setting up your computer with Sony Notebook Setup.
❑ (External Display) button:
Toggles between the LCD and an external device (e.g. monitor).
On the display/LAN adapter

Activating HOLD mode in the direction of the arrow puts system into power-saving mode to reduce power consumption. To bring
your system back into normal mode, slide the
HOLD switch in the reverse direction of the arrow and return to normal mode.
