Using your VAIO computer
I cannot play a DVD VIDEO
Check if the region code of your drive is appropriate.
To check the region code setting, proceed as follow:
1 Click Start and then My Computer.
2 Right-click the disc drive icon and click Properties in the menu.
3 Click the Hardware tab.
4 Select the DVD/CD-ROM drive from the All disk drives list and click Properties.
5 Click the DVD Region tab.
Check if the region code specified for Current Region is appropriate.
The reading speed of CD/DVD-RWs is very slow
Generally, the reading speed of a CD/DVD-RW is slower than that of a -ROM or -R. The reading speed can also vary depending on
the type of format.
The disc tray does not eject even when the eject button is pressed
❑ Check that the computer is turned on.
❑ The CD-writing application software may be stopping the disc from being ejected.
❑ Make sure the computer is not in Standby or Hibernate mode.
