Restoring the default settings

The power scheme settings that you changed on the VAIO Power Management tab can be restored to the default settings.

To restore the default settings, proceed as follows:

Select the VAIO Power Management tab in the Power Options Properties window.

Click the Advanced button.
The VAIO Power Management window appears.

Click the Reset by default button.
The Confirm window appears.

Select the Restore all power schemes to the original factory default settings.

Click OK.
The Confirm window closes and the default settings are restored for all the power scheme options.

VAIO Ultimate Battery

Provides longer battery life than VAIO Maximum Battery.

If you have a mobile CPU (see the specifications), a CPU control icon may appear on the taskbar. The CPU control icon indicates
the CPU control status (Performance, Adaptive, Battery Life, Degrade). To make the icon appear, click the

Advanced button on

the

VAIO Power Management tab. Select the Show CPU status icon in the taskbar box and then click OK.
