Uninstallation of the printer driver

Deleting the Printer Driver (Windows XP)
To delete the Windows XP-compatible printer driver, perform the following
steps.

Turn on the computer and start Windows XP.

Click [Start] of the task bar. Then, select [Printers and Faxes] from the
Start menu.
The [Printers and Faxes] window appears.
- Exit from all active Windows applications, if required.

Select the icon for the printer you want to delete. Then, click [Delete
this printer].
The confirmation message will appear.

Click [Yes].
The printer is uninstalled.
Note
If the printer has been set as the default printer, the message saying the
default printer is deleted appears after the deletion.

Select [Server Properties] from the [File] menu of the [Printers and Fax-
es] window.
The [Print Server Properties] window appears.

Open [Drivers] tab of the [Print Server Properties] window.

Select the printer driver you want to delete from the [Installed printer
drivers:]. Then click [Remove].
The confirmation message appears.

Click [Yes].
The printer driver is deleted (uninstalled).

Restart the computer.
- To avoid the system failure, make sure to restart the computer after
deleting the printer driver.
