Important safeguards
• Never attach any strings or cords to either soother.
• Do not tie the soother around the child’s neck, as it could strangle the child.
• Before each use check the nipple of the soothers for tears or cracks and pull
it to ensure that it is firmly attached to the shield. Do not use it if a defect is
found or if it is loose.

The thermometers are precision instruments so treat them with care. Don’t drop
them or expose them to shocks or high temperatures. Only use them for the
measurement of human body temperatures.
• Do not store in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
• Never sterilise nor boil the soother thermometer measurement unit.
• Do not wash in dishwasher.
• Do not put in microwave or microwave steriliser.
• Never use any chemical solvents.
• Do not bend or disassemble the measurement units.
* Sterilising means destroying harmful bacteria at a temperature of 95°C for
more than 3 minutes. It does NOT mean sterilisation according to clinical
standards. The Philips Baby Bottle Steriliser is suitable for sterilising the
nipple, shield and cover.
