Stage 1
Remove the rear bottom (top side of boom package) and side bearing pads from
boom-section 2. Note! Leave all top bearing pads (bottom side of boom package)
in place to aid sliding during section removal operation.
Remove tension from the hoses on the hose take-up weldment.
Unfasten hoses (including hydraulic & any electric hoses) on the hose take-up
weldment.
Remove the hose take-up weldment and hardware.

Stage 2
Disconnect the top front chains (bottom side of boom package) from the chain
clevis on boom-section 1 & boom-section 2.
Remove chain tension from the front top chains.
Remove the front top chain rollers from boom-section 2 and boom-section 3.
Stage 3
Remove chain adjustment block from boom-section 1.
Remove all bearing pads from the front of boom-section 1.
Carefully pull boom-section 2/3/4 package from boom-section 1 and place in
designated work area for further separation.

Remove chain tension before proceeding to Stage 3.
Note!
The boom package is inverted 180°.
The instructions given will refer to the
top and bottom of the boom and
components as though the boom
was mounted on the machine.
