Please note: The use of tabwater as heating media can lead to calcification
which can provoke crevice corrosion. Therefore the user is strongly
recommended to clean the heating bath with an adequate polish on a
regular basis.

The filling amount must be checked during the filling procedure. When the flask is
mounted and the

heating bath lift is in the upper position, the ideal filling level is

approx. 3 cm below the edge of the heating bath. Attention must always be given to
the volume displacement of the evaporating flask.

25. Emptying the heating bath

Caution: The bath fluid must be cooled down to room temperature before emptying,
otherwise there is a danger of the hot bath fluid scalding and damaging the material.

On the LABOROTA 20 eco there is a drain cock (1) on the back of the
device. The valve is closed when the black lever is at 90° to the direction
of flow.

This valve drains bath fill into a tank (not supplied).

26. Overheating protection of the heating bath

If the overheating protection of the heating bath is actuated (LED Overheat Prot.
illuminates), the bath must be cooled down and the cause eliminated.

Possible cause: Lack of heating bath fluid.

Descend heating bath lift to LOW.
