17. Heater

The heating bath temperature is set using the "Bath Temp" knob. On the display "Bath Temp
°C" the temperature is given in °C. It always indicates the actual temperature of the heating
bath fluid. When setting the required temperature, the display jumps to the required
temperature indicator which then begins to flash.

Caution: The heating bath has a temperature range of 20

– 180°C. Make sure

that there is oil in the heating bath container when setting to temperatures of
over 100°C. As a warning sign, the information "OIL" appears on the display
for 2 seconds when 100°C are exceeded

The heating is switched on by pressing the Start Stop button. The LED next to the Start
Stop button indicates that it is switched on. Press once again to stop the heating.

18. Safety functions

All of the following cause LED ON situations.

Flask Support LED : Flask support is not in its extreme position (either side). Rotation

won’t start, or rotation is going to stop, lift won’t work.
Move flask support to extreme position (both sides)
and secure with knurled knobs, (page 58 (5)).

Rotation Stop LED: Drive lock engaged, rotation

can’t start. Release lock by turning knob CCW.

If the LED Overheat Prot. illuminates, the

overheating protection for the heating is actuated. The
Stop - Mode function is initiated. (Heating bath lift
travels downwards, heating and rotation come to a
halt).
Heater won’t start, heater is disconnected.
Possible reasons: heating bath level insufficient, heating bath dry; refill. Heater is broken.
After eliminating the fault, allow the bath to cool down and push in the overheating
protection with a screwdriver. (see also page 26)

If the LED Stop - Mode illuminates, the Stop - Mode switch was pressed or the

overheating protection was actuated (see previous paragraph).
Heating bath lift descends automatically;
Heater and rotation OFF;
Reset with master switch OFF and ON
