No or insufficient refrigeration

- Compressor defective.
- Leak in the cooling system.
- Inappropriate site conditions.
- Ventilation grilles of the con-
denser dirty.
- Friction between the slot cover
and the microtome housing.
- UV radiation provided by UV
tube no longer sufficient for
disinfection.
- Call technical service.

scribed in section 5.2.
- Clean the ventilation slits as
described in section 10.3.1.
- Apply cryostat oil to the slot
cover and distribute by turning
the handwheel or with a cloth.
- Replace UV tube following the
manufacturer’s instructions.
