Start Trigger:

The Pumping Program may be started, or stopped, from multiple sources.
These are the keypad’s ‘Start’/’Stop’ key, the TTL I/O ‘Operational Trigger’
input, or from a command received through the RS-232 connection.

3. Setup

♦ Place the pump on a stable surface.

♦ Plug the round connector end of the supplied power supply adapter into the power plug located on the

lower right of the pump's rear. Plug the other end of the power supply adapter into an appropriate
electrical outlet. The pump will be powered when the bottom of the power switch, located on the upper
right of the rear of the pump, labeled ‘1’, is pressed. The red indicator on the switch is visible when the
power switch is in the ‘on’ position. After power is applied to the pump, the pump’s display will flash.

♦ Next the Pumping Program can be entered. Before the Pumping Program can be operated, the pump

needs the measurement of the inside diameter, in millimeters (mm), of the syringe that will be loaded.
The syringe diameter can be entered using the keypad on the front panel of the pump.

♦ Finally, the syringes can be loaded and the pump started.

4. Loading Syringes

Syringes are loaded by securing the barrel and the pusher flange of each syringe as follows:

Note: When loading less than the maximum number of syringes, load the syringes in a balanced

pattern to even the force on the pusher bar and syringe barrel clamp, outside, then inside.

1: Loosen the 2 knobs on the Barrel Flange Retainer Bracket and the Pusher Bar just enough to insert the

syringe flanges. This bracket can be replaced with a micro-liter syringe bracket where available.

2: Release the pusher bar by pressing down on the drive-nut button locking lever, while pushing in the

white button. Taking care not to drag the drive-nut on the drive-screw, slide the bar away from the
syringe holder, providing sufficient space for the syringes to be loaded. Then release the white button.

3: Lift the Syringe Barrel Bar and turn it 1/4 turn and then lower it.

4: Load the syringes with the barrels over the syringe holder rack and the syringe plungers toward the

middle of the pump. Place the barrels on the syringe holder rack, with the barrel flanges inserted
between the syringe holder rack and syringe retainer bar. Insert the Syringe Plunger Flanges between the
Pusher Bar and the Pusher Flange Retainer bar.

5: Lift the Syringe Holder Bar above the height of the syringe barrels and turn the syringe holder 1/4 turn

back to its original position and then lower it onto the syringe barrels.

6: Firmly push in the Syringe Retainer Bracket against the syringe Barrel Flanges and tighten the 2 knobs

on the Syringe Retainer Bracket. Turn the 2 knobs on the Pusher Bar to tighten the Pusher Flange
Retainer Bracket
against the syringes.

To unload the syringes, reverse the instructions for syringe loading.
