Default Output. If a default output is selected, this is the value placed in this register when radio communications are lost between the
Gateway and this Node.

Hold Last State. If this checkbox is selected, this register retains the last sampled state when radio communications are lost between the
Gateway and this Node.

Arrow Color. The color of the arrows indicates a specific system status.

• Green: The destination device I/O type is compatible (V to V, discrete to discrete) with the source I/O type.
• Yellow: The destination device I/O type may not be compatible with the source type. Mapping is allowed.
• Red: The destination device is not part of the wireless network. The map will be written but may not operate properly if the destination

device I/O type is not compatible with the source I/O type.

• Gray: No I/O mapping is defined.

System Parameters

The System Parameters tab leads to the Network Size, Polling Configuration, Heartbeat Configuration, and Device Health Configuration
screens.

Network

Use this screen to set the maximum number of devices within the wireless system, the communication type, and network ID.

Number of Devices in System. This parameter determines the system timing. From the drop-down list, select from 8, 16, 32, or 48
devices. Selecting a Max Number of Devices (Gateway plus all Nodes) of 8 results in a faster system than selecting 48. For the best
performance, select the lowest possible number. For example, if you have 6 Nodes in your network, select a Max Number of Devices of 8
to optimize performance. Your network will still operate if you select 16, but the performance will be a little slower than is necessary.

• 8 Devices = Nodes communicate every 62.5 milliseconds
• 16 Devices = Nodes communicate every 128 milliseconds
• 32 Devices = Nodes communicate every 250 milliseconds
• 48 Devices = Nodes communicate every 500 milliseconds

To set the network size:

1. Select the number of devices (Gateway and Nodes) in this wireless network.
2. Click on the Send button to send this setting to the Gateway.

Communication

Standard Communication. Default setting.
