Settings

Use the Settings screen to select a USB port and baud rate if the computer does not automatically detect the SureCross Gateway when
the USB cable is plugged in.

Select the Enable tool tips checkbox to enable the context sensitive help that appears on the various screens.

Computer Communication Settings. The Gateway’s factory default baud rate is 19.2k, 1 stop bit, no parity. If you set the device's baud
rate to something other than 19.2k, match the computer's baud rate to that speed to use the UCT.

DX80 Network Slave ID. Set this parameter when you have assigned a Slave ID other than 1 to the Gateway plugged into your computer.
By default, the Gateway's Modbus Slave ID is set to 1. For the UCT to communicate to this device, the DX80 Network Slave ID under the
Computer Communication Settings section must match the slave ID assigned to your Gateway.

Number of Retries. Number of times the computer tries to communicate with the DX80 Gateway before the computer reports an error
with the connection. For example, the computer tries 10 times to read the I/O linking information before it determines there is a problem
with the communication link between the computer and the Gateway.

Modbus Timeout (ms). How long the computer waits for a response from the Gateway each time the computer tries to communicate with
the Gateway.

Device Communication Settings. Match the computer's communication settings (baud rate and parity) to the device's communication
settings. By default, Gateways are set to use Modbus Slave ID 1. You may set your Gateway's Modbus Slave ID to another number using
the DX80 Modbus Slave ID parameter in the Device Communication Settings section of the screen.

If you do not know what baud rate or parity your Gateway is set to, refer to the Gateway's LCD display, under the Device Config (DVCFG)
menu. Use the Set button to send any new settings to the Gateway.
