Prepare Fan

Disconnect Existing Fan Hoses

Newer fans have 2 hoses to the hitch. Older fans have 3
hoses to the hitch (and require a fan update kit). For a
3-port fan, continue at “Disconnect 3-Port Fan” on
page 29.

Disconnect 2-Port Fan
A 2-port fan will be reconnected at a later step.

Refer to Figure 23
6.

Set out an oil collection bucket near the hitch ends
of the hoses.

7.

Remove any hose handle housings

.

8.

Disconnect the hoses from the hitch fittings at the
JIC connectors

. Drain the hitch ends into the

bucket. Set the open hose ends in the bucket.

9.

Crack the JIC connections

at the upper ends of

the supply, return and any case drain hoses at the
fan. Leave the bypass hose

connected at the

check valve.

10. When all hoses have completely drained, fully

disconnect them from the fan fittings.

11. For all models except YP825AR, release the hoses

from all clamps on their route. These clamps may
be reused for PTO system hoses.

For model YP825AR, leave the hoses on the
mainframe in place for the time being. Release and
remove fan hoses, and if present, seed meter
hydraulic drive hoses, from the hitch to the first
connection at the mainframe pivot.

Note: For a PTO pump installation, removed fan hoses,

their fittings and handles are not reused.
