Reservoir Under Main Seed Box

This topic applies only to kit 411-016A and planter
models 2025A and 2525A. For other kits, find the topic
starting page in the table on page 41.

Refer to Figure 54 and Figure 47 on page 41
The under-box reservoir location is used with 3-point box
planters. It applies to kit 411-016A, which has the
following component unique to the under-box location:

411-017L LB PTO TANK

This tank weldment has a forward mount plate

and a

rear mount base

, secured to the planter by U-bolts to

the right of the hitch. The forward mount plate rests on
the upper frame tube

. The rear mount base rests on

the angle brace

. The rear base has two sets of bolt

holes. The LH holes are shown with the U-bolt. An
alternate U-bolt location is shown at

The tank weldment also has top brackets

, which may

be used to re-secure air system pipe brackets.

81. Examine the configuration of the planter.

Temporarily remove some air system piping to allow
access to the installation site.

82. Select one each new:

411-017L LB PTO TANK

which includes (and may have pre-installed):
one each new:

806-159C U-BOLT 1/2-13 X 5 1/32 X 4 1/2

806-144C U-BOLT 1/2-13 X 3 1/32 X 3

and four sets new:

804-016C WASHER FLAT 1/2 SAE PLT

804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT

803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT

Position the reservoir so that the bolt holes of the
front plate

straddle the upper frame tube

, at

least one set of rear base

bolt holes straddle the

angle brace

.

Secure the front plate with U-bolt

, flat

washers

, lock washers

and nuts

.

Secure the rear base with U-bolt

, flat

washers

, lock washers

and nuts

.

83. Re-install any removed air system pipes.
