A 58nnm dia. filter (Optional) can be
screwed on to the mount ring.
O A filter cannot be attached to the mounting ring if you use the MP-E 65mm f/2.8
1-5x lens with the dedicated hood attached or if you use the EF 50mm f/2.5
COMPACT MACRO lens.

With the EF 50mm f/2.5 COMPACT MACRO and EF 100mm f/2.8 MACRO lens,
you can attach a 52mm filter directly to the lens and attach the mounting ring
to it.
