• Adjust the Master Startup Volume level with the j and k buttons. Press

the k button to increase the Master Startup Volume level. Press the j
button to lower the Master Startup Volume level. The highest Master
Startup Volume setting is 100%.

NOTE: While adjusting the Master Startup Volume level, the Master
Volume level can be adjusted by turning the volume control clockwise to
raise the volume, or counterclockwise to lower the volume. When adjusting
the volume, the display will change to indicate the volume level.

• Press MENU or ENTER to save changes and return to the previous screen.

Microphones

The MPS-300 can be connected to two microphones that are channeled to the
SPEECH outputs and can be incorporated into the RECORD and PROGRAM
outputs. The microphone inputs feature switchable gating, compression, and limiters.
They can also provide phantom power to microphones requiring phantom power.

Access the Microphone Menu

To access the Microphone menu:

• Access the Audio Setup menu as described on page 38.
• Press the k or j buttons until “Microphones” is displayed on the LCD and

press ENTER to open the Microphones menu.

• To return to the Audio Setup menu, press MENU.

Switch Microphone Gating

Microphone gating can be individually set on each microphone input. To switch
microphone gating on or off:

• Access the Microphone menu as described above.
• Press the k or j buttons until “Mic 1 Gating” or “Mic 2 Gating” is

displayed on the LCD and press ENTER to open the Microphone Gating
control.
