C. Whenever the respirator becomes “unacceptable” to the
employee and the employee properly notifies the employer
of the condition (A respirator may be unacceptable if it
causes irritation or pain to the employee or if because of
discomfort the employee is unable to wear the respirator
for the time required.)
D. Whenever there is an obvious change in the employee’s
physical condition that could affect respirator fit (An
obvious change in physical condition could include facial
scarring, dental changes, cosmetic surgery, or changes in
body weight.)
