Appendix F – TCP/IP Subnet Mask Translation

A point to take special note is the DIP switch settings in the BioPointe devices. As only one unit can perform
handshaking with the modem, only that unit is set to be at the ‘MODEM’ for the Comm Type. The rest of the
units have to set at RS422 or RS485 for the Comm Type, depending on which is being used. The settings are
tabulated in the tables as follows:
