SHELL STITCH °
Shell stitch is for seaming and overcasting
sheer, soft fabrics in one operation. It also
produces a delicate shell hem on lingerie
and other fine garments.
SEAM AND OVERCAST IN ONE
Place the right sides of the fabric together
and position under the presserfoot so that
the zig-zag part of the stitch sews just over
the raw edge.
SHELLTUCKS
Turn under the raw edge and press. Place
the fabric right side up so that the zigzag
part of the stitch sews just over the folded
edge, pulling the fabric in to form a shell
hem. Trim away excess fabric close to the
stitching line.
PUNTADA DE LENCERIA °
La puntada de lencería es para coser y
sobrehilar en una operación tejidos finos
y suaves. También produce un dobladillo
de concha delicado en lencería y otras
prendas finas.
COSTURA Y SOBREHILADO EN UNO
Colocar los derechos del tejido juntos y
posicionar debajo del prénsatelas, de
manera que la parte del zig-zag de la
puntada cosa sobre el borde del tejido.
DOBLADILLO DE CONCHA
Girar hacia abajo el borde del tejido y
planchar. Colocar el derecho del tejido
arriba, de manera que la parte del zig-zag
de la puntada cosa sobre el borde doblado,
estirando el tejido y formando un dobladillo
de concha.
Recortar el tejido sobrante cerca de la línea
de puntadas.
POINT DE COQUILLE °
Le point coquille est utilisé pour coudre et
surjeter des tissus fins en une seule
opération. Il peut être employé pour
réaliser un ourlet en coquille sur la linge­
rie ou tous vêtements fins.
COUTURE ET SURJET EN UNE
SEULE OPÉRATION
Placer le tissu endroit contre endroit sous
le pied. Coujez pour que le point s’effectu
sur le bord du tissu.
OURLET EN COQUILLE
Repliez le bord et faire un ourlet de 12 mm.
Placer l’endroit du tissu sous le pied de
manière à ce que le point se réalise sur la
pliure du tissu. Ceci tout en tirant le tissu
pour lui donner la forme d’une coquille.
Couper le tissu au ras de la pliure.
